1st Leven Scouts Group
West Street, HU17 5LE
The Scouts have been meeting at their HQ on the edge of Leven Playing Fields since 1968. The Group now takes boys and girls.

Beaver Colony (6 to 8 year olds) meets Thursday 6-7pm
Cub Pack (8 to 10 1/2 year olds) meets Mondays 6.30-8pm
Scout Troop (10 1/2 to 14 year olds) meets Thursday 7.30-9pm

We have nine Leaders who run a full programme of activities, adventures, crafts, games and camps. As a Group we try to get involved with our local Community through helping Groups, visiting local clubs, nature reserves or locations and enjoy having local speakers visit us.

The leaders are supported by parent helpers and an Executive Committee, made up from parents, who work hard to raise funds and ensure that the Group moves with the times. All Leaders are volunteers who undergo training appropriate to their role.

The building is also used by Brandesburton Scout Group on Wednesday nights and is used by other Groups on an ad-hoc basis.

At present all Sections have waiting lists as Sections are limited by the size of the building and numbers of Leaders. We would love to open another Beaver Colony and an Explorer Unit (14 - 18 year olds) as we have so many Young People on the waiting list but for this we need more Leaders.
